Community is in all of us
Through financial contributions, resource donations and hands on work, we help support local organizations, sponsorship and education programs, and provide financial assistance to families in need.
Children's Miracle Network
Trius has been participating in Children’s Miracle Network fundraising for several years. In conjunction with other Nebraska Credit Union’s, over 2 million dollars in funds have been raised to benefit Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Most recently, our fundraising efforts help Children’s to be able to build the Hubbard Center for Children Hematology/Oncology Lobby in 2018 and an outpatient surgery center in 2016. In 2021, we earned the highest award given by the Credit Union for Kids organization thanks to generous donations from staff and members.
Emerson Branch/Trius FCU
Trius has a Branch inside Emerson Elementary School in Kearney, NE to help create strong saving habits among the students. Trius, in partnership with the Economics Department at UNL, launched the in-school banking program at Emerson in 2014 and students are invited to participate in weekly deposit days to help instill financial literacy in our youth. The fifth grade students serve as our tellers for this branch and all students can make weekly deposits until fifth grade graduation when they are presented with a check for the amount they have saved during their time at Emerson Elementary.
Kearney Area Children's Museum
Trius is proud to support our the Kearney Area Children’s Museum through sponsorship of their monthly Free Family Fun Nights, when they invite children to come explore, engage, build, and play, free of charge once a month.
Holiday Giving Tree
Each year Trius adopts residents at local skilled nursing facilities. Our staff and members enjoy selecting ornaments off our giving tree and shopping for the residents. We like bringing a smile to those residents’ faces during the holiday season.
Red Cross
Every May we host a community blood drive at our local Red Cross. We recognize the ongoing need for blood, both in our community and nationwide, and proudly support our local Red Cross chapter and encourage our staff and members to give when they can!
High School Tailgates
Trius is proud to support our area high schools by sponsoring various tailgates throughout the school year. It’s never too hot, windy, or cold for us to throw some hot dogs on the grill and support our local athletes!
Community Action Partnership Of Mid-Nebraska
Trius continues to support our local community action partnership through various efforts. Every December we adopt a family for Christmas and also collect warm winter clothing/gear for those in need.
